CHEQUE ACCOUNT
(чековый счет) Счет в банке (bank) или строительном обществе (building society), против которого можно выписывать чеки. Обычно строительные общества ежедневно начисляют процент на положительный остаток на чековом счете, тогда как банки традиционно этого не делали; в настоящее время, однако, банки, сталкиваясь с конкуренцией со стороны строительных обществ, часто также начисляют процент на остаток на счете.
